ગૌરવ કથા ગુજરાતની------ શૂન્ય પાલનપૂરી
વિશ્વને રોશન કરી ગઇ દીપિકા ગુજરાતની,
સૂર્ય પણ જોતો રહ્યો જ્યોતિ-કલા ગુજરાતની.
‘ડાંગ’ માર્યાથી કદી પાણી જુદાં થાતાં નથી,
દુશ્મનોએ જોઇ છે ક્યાં એકતા ગુજરાતની?
મુક્તિ કેરા ગાલ પર લાલી અમસ્તી ના ગણો,
રંગ લાવી છે શહીદી-ભાવના ગુજરાતની.
ભાગ્ય પર પુરુષાર્થની મારી છે લોખંડી મહોર,
ભૂલશે ઇતિહાસ ના ગૌરવ-કથા ગુજરાતની.
ચંદ્ર ને સૂરજ કહે છે રાતદિ’, ‘જય સોમનાથ!’
કાળના હૈયે જડી છે અસ્મિતા ગુજરાતની.
માતા કેરા ચીર સાથે ખેલનારા! સાવધાન!
કૈં મહાભારત ન સર્જે ઉર વ્યથા ગુજરાતની.
શૂન્ય, મારી જિંદગીને તો જ લેખું ધન્ય હું,
મૃત્યુ ટાણે પણ મળે જો ગોદ ‘મા’ ગુજરાતની.
