Guru Purnima falls in the month of June-July of English calendar, but as per the Indian Hindu calendar it falls on the full moon of Ashadh month. Guru Purnima also called Guru Guru Punam is the day devotees offer puja(worship) to their Guru. This was also the day when Vyasa, author of Mahabharataa was born.
